Our Mission
To publish and apply the Teachings delivered by the Ascended Masters to their Messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet and their anointed successors in order to restore the original one on one relationship between the soul and God and to liberate the souls of planet Earth.
The Summit Lighthouse is a non-profit spiritual community dedicated to accelerating the soul’s reunion with God. From practical spirituality to the path of the ascension, we’ have been sharing the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, as delivered by Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet, for over 60 years.
With a dedicated sanctuary, spacious gathering areas, a kitchen, parking, and room for community events, the Teaching Center is more than a meeting place — it is a spiritual home where hearts can be nourished, teachings can be shared, and lasting connections can be formed. The natural surroundings, including the peaceful flow of a small stream, remind us of the living presence of God in all things and create a beautiful setting for reflection, renewal, and purposeful service.
Many wild animals including wild turkey, peacocks and deer call our spiritual home their home. A number of different birds grace us with their presence.
This place will be developed into a Retreat Center for those looking for respite from the hustle and bustle of urban life. It will serve persons from all over the globe visiting the Capitol City of Washington, D.C. in a safe and bucolic environment of love, peace and harmony. Here everyone may grow and accelerate on the Path to the Ascension. We will continue to promote the Revolution in Higher Consciousness.
The actual D.C. Teaching Centers have been located in northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Takoma Park, MD in urban areas with high traffic flows. Through them, many Lightbearers have been contacted and nurtured. As the political climate has changed, the focus of the Center seems to be evolving, as well.
Currently, nestled in Bowie, Maryland, the Teaching Center offers a peaceful and welcoming setting for prayer, study, fellowship, and spiritual community. Sitting on 26 acres of green trees, small streams from the Patuxent River, open space, and the quiet beauty of nature, the property provides a serene environment where members, friends, and seekers can come together in the spirit of truth, freedom, and service.
- Guatama Buddha, the Lord of the World, established a Focus of Peace in the dome of the Capitol Building through the Goddess of Freedom that might be felt all across the nation the night of the inauguration;
- Paul the Venetian, Lord of the 3rd ray of Love, transferred the full pulsation of the great Liberty Flame in the forcefield of the Washington Monument, a gift from himself and the entire spirit of the Great White Brotherhood from the heart of France to support the spiritual governments of these two nations in 1962;
- Saint Germain, who gifted us with the Violet Flame, placed in the heart chakra of the Goddess of Freedom on the dome of the Capitol Building the Focus of Freedom in 1975. That day he also named focal points for enshrining freedom in the capitals of several nations -- Russia, Brazil, Egypt and India -- and reinforced the flame in the Capitol Building.
- Beloved Godfre, previously embodied as George Washington, placed his Electronic Presence over all whose pure hearts would be a part of his supreme effort to save America, e.g., the I AM Race, in 1987.
The Messenger Mark L. Prophet founded The Summit Lighthouse (TSL) in Washington, D.C. in 1958. El Morya, who sponsored TSL, summoned Mark’s twin flame, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, there to be trained as a Messenger for the Great White Brotherhood, making this a sacred place, indeed. Through dictations, several Ascended Masters anchored light in this area for the Unites States and the world:

The fundamental principle of the Teachings of the Ascended Masters is that all sons and daughters of God have a divine spark that is their potential to realize the universal Christ within and ascend to God as Jesus did. This concept is at the heart of all the major religions, East and West.

The ascended masters are all a part of the Great White Brotherhood*, spoken of in Revelation 7 as the great multitude of saints “clothed with white robes” who stand before the throne of God. The Brotherhood works with earnest seekers and public servants of every race, religion and walk of life to assist humanity in their forward evolution.
Among these saints are Gautama Buddha, Maitreya, Jesus Christ, Saint Michael the Archangel, Zarathustra, Moses, Melchizedek, Mother Mary, Saint Francis, Saint Germain, El Morya, Thérèse of Lisieux and unnumbered and unnamed loving hearts, servants of humanity.
