The Heart of Freedom: Saint Germain, the Capitol, and America’s Spiritual Destiny
The United States Capitol is one of the most recognized buildings in America. It is the seat of the United States Congress, where laws are debated, decisions are made, and the responsibility of national government is carried.
But for students of the Ascended Masters, the Capitol holds a deeper spiritual symbolism. It is not only a national landmark or a political building. It is connected with the flame of freedom, the destiny of America, and the spiritual work of Saint Germain.
Above the dome of the Capitol stands the bronze statue known as Armed Freedom, also called the Statue of Freedom. This nineteen-foot statue crowns the Capitol dome and stands as a visible reminder of the sacred responsibility of freedom.
In the teachings of the Ascended Masters, this statue has a profound spiritual meaning. Saint Germain identified it as a focal point for the enshrining of freedom in America.
On November 23, 1975, Saint Germain said that he selected this monument as the focal point for the enshrining of freedom and placed that focus “in the heart of America, in the very heart chakra of the Goddess of Freedom reigning over the Capitol building of the United States.”
This is the key to understanding the Capitol through the lens of the teachings. The focus is not only on the building itself, but on the flame of freedom anchored through the heart chakra of the Goddess of Freedom above the Capitol.
The Heart Chakra of Freedom
This teaching points us to the heart.
The Capitol may be the outer seat of government, but the Statue of Freedom above it represents a higher spiritual focus. Saint Germain’s words show that the flame of freedom is connected to the heart of America and to the heart chakra of the Goddess of Freedom.
This is a powerful image. Freedom is not meant to be cold, political, or separate from divine love. True freedom must come from the heart. It must be guided by God’s will, divine justice, mercy, courage, and responsibility.
A nation cannot fulfill its spiritual destiny through human power alone. It must be governed by higher principles. It must be anchored in the heart.
The Capitol and God-Government
The Capitol represents government, but the teachings call us to something higher than ordinary government. They call us to God-government.
God-government begins with the individual soul. Before a nation can be governed by divine law, each person must choose to govern his or her own thoughts, feelings, words, and actions according to the will of God.
When the heart is aligned with God, freedom becomes sacred. Leadership becomes service. Law becomes justice. Power becomes responsibility.
This is why the Capitol can remind us of a deeper calling. It is a call to pray for divine wisdom in government, for divine justice in leadership, and for the raising up of true sons and daughters of God who will serve the light.
Godfre’s Call to Washington, D.C.
In a Pearl of Wisdom from November 8, 1987, Beloved Godfre spoke strongly about the spiritual battle for Washington, D.C. and America. He called for chelas not to abandon the city, but to remain steadfast in the fight for freedom and light.
Godfre spoke of his vow to Saint Germain “to save America” and described the Goddess of Freedom not only as standing above the Capitol but descending as a mighty presence into the Capitol rotunda to become the Mother of Freedom on earth.
This image gives the Capitol an even deeper meaning. The flame of freedom is not meant to remain distant or symbolic. It must descend into the heart of the nation, into its government, into its people, and into daily life.
The call is not passive. It is a call to spiritual action.
The Responsibility of Chelas
For students of the Ascended Masters, Washington, D.C. is not only the nation’s capital. It is a place of spiritual responsibility.
Chelas are called to hold the balance for America through prayer, decree, service, and the violet flame. We are called to invoke divine protection over the government, to call for the exposure and judgment of darkness, and to hold the immaculate concept for America’s highest destiny.
The teachings remind us that freedom must be guarded. It must be purified. It must be consecrated to God.
The flame of freedom anchored above the Capitol through the Goddess of Freedom is a reminder that every soul has a part to play. We may not all serve in public offices, but we can all serve the light. We can pray. We can decree. We can vote with discernment. We can speak truth. We can live with integrity. We can ask God to raise up leaders who are worthy of the sacred trust of government.
Freedom Must Be Anchored in the Heart
The deeper message of the Capitol is this: freedom must be anchored in the heart.
Freedom without divine love can become selfishness. Freedom without divine law can become chaos. Freedom without responsibility can be misused.
But freedom anchored in the heart becomes service. It becomes courage. It becomes justice. It becomes the power to fulfill God’s will on earth.
Saint Germain’s placement of the flame of freedom in the heart chakra of the Goddess of Freedom shows us that America’s destiny is not only political. It is spiritual.
The Capitol, crowned by the Statue of Freedom, becomes a reminder that the heart of America must be purified, strengthened, and illumined by the flame of freedom.
As we look at the Capitol and to the Statue of Freedom above it, we can remember the responsibility given to the students of light.
We can call to Saint Germain, Godfre, the Goddess of Freedom, the Goddess of Liberty, Portia, and the ascended hosts to bless America, protect the lightbearers, and raise up those who will serve according to divine law.
We can invoke the violet flame through Washington, D.C., through the Capitol, through every branch of government, and through the heart of every citizen.
